Electoral Votes

On election day, it will take at least 270 of the possible 538 electoral votes for John McCain or Barack Obama to win the Presidency. Use this map to predict possible state combinations each candidate needs to win the election. Clicking on a state will change the total electoral vote count per candidate.

US Senators

The United States Senate is composed of two senators per state, each of which are granted a six year term. Requirements for senators are that they be over the age of 30, are inhabitants of the state they are chosen and have been US residents for at least nine years. Click the map pins on each state to browse members, or search for a specific senator in the sidebar.

US House of Representatives

The United States House of Representatives is composed of 435 members, each of whom serves for a two-year term. Every state receives representation proportional to its population and is entitled to at least one representative. Click the map pins to browse members, or search for a specific representative in the sidebar.
