- Jan 31, 2012 Great location and nice rooftop bar, but as a hotel - the place is eh, ok. Great for young tourists or people spending most of their time about town - the place is clean and recently renovated. It's modern decor and has it's own hip attitude. Think the Standard by the beach with a little less party. Everything is extra and expensive, from daily internet access to movies on the TV ($16 for new releases!) to parking your car. Don't bother with the valet, park in the adjoining neighborhoods or go carless. It's great location for a bike.
