- Dec 21, 2011 I just stayed at Bakers Motel last weekend and had a great experience. The Motel is very clean and customer service is great. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is in a great location right off of 70 and a few miles from New Concord. Thanks again, I highly recommend this establishment!
- Dec 22, 2009 The Historic National Road (Yatd Sale) Traveler I just completed a Promotional Tour for the recenrly-released Historic National Road Yard Sale Cookbook which includes regional recipes from all six states along the Historic National Road from St. Louis to Baltimore. One of the focal points was to participate in a booksigning at Turn The Page Bookstore in Boonesboro, Maryland. Nora Robertsa and several other authors welcomed snow-clad guests the first Saturday in December. Gary and Teresa both possess a veritable knowledge of the Historic National Road in Eastern Ohio. (Baker's Motel is located directly across from the Zane Grey/National Road Museum in Norwich, Ohio.) And...Baker's Motel was one of the first Best Western Motels in the country. Gary shared some photos, and he gave me an original square of pink tile from the motel. It's wonderful to still have an American-owned motel with proprietors who care deeply about America's first interstate!! - Jul 20, 2007 Great Independent I have stayed at Baker's many times over the years, owners are always nice and helpful, rooms are always clean and comfortable, beds are better than most chains, been in almost all of there one bed room all are the same so am always pleased and the rates are great. This is an american family owned property
- Jul 9, 2007 O.o This place available "by the hour"... shall I say any more? Please drive 15 more miles and stay in a real hotel.
