My wife, son & I went to one of the Theatre For Young Audiences shows (Saturday 1:30, Summer 2011) and this was our first time attending a show at the Pointe Performing Arts Center. The actors were engaging and appeared to want to be there, however the lack of costumes was disappointing… The hostess was also the main character, Suzy Scarecrow, and wore on stage an everyday shirt, shoes and jeans without any character makeup and was carrying a regular manila office envelope for some reason – not what anybody, especially kids, expects a scarecrow to look like. Baxter the Beagle was also wearing just a regular shirt, shoes and jeans – although he at least had on some character makeup, floppy ears and a tail. In their defense there were only 8 audience members (3 of which were kids) and perhaps they didn't feel the need to dress up for so few people. On the other hand, if this is how they regularly dress on stage for the kid's shows then I can see why there were only 8 of us in attendance.

You pay 30 dollars for a great show and an excellent dinner combo! We saw "the odd couple" which was fabulous and ate at taverna opa. I had mousaka and it was delicious. Go check it out! One of the very best and cheapest ways to spend a Thursday through Saturday night. :)
