- 2 months ago Fun and enjoyable Culinary Arts Program: I enrolled at OCC because I had learned of their Culinary Arts Program and was not disappointed. After taking their "Career Development" program to ensure that this department was right for me, I began taking the "Sanitation and Safety" class to meet the prerequisites for the Culinary Arts Program. -------- It was not easy for me at first, but the classes have reshaped my personality to be more structured and organized, and I could not be more thankful for that. The instructors have been very helpful and nice to me, however, to put it bluntly, don't expect them to go easy on you "just to be nice"; the instructors all wish to prepare you for real-life culinary arts, and will grade you according to how you have measured up ...
- 2 months ago My daughter had a terrible experience petitioning a class she needed for graduate school. Bad information and poor communication especially from the Dean of Science and Math. Following over three weeks of attending lecture and labs while working around not having materials for class available, having to special order books and working around a un-student friendly admittance policy for petitioners, she found no support from the administration. OCC administration, faculty and President failed her and in the process denied a motivated graduate of Cal Berkeley the assistance and commination to be successful at this campus. My advice is to go to Golden West College for the best opportunity and for support when you need it.

Excellent place to enhance your education.
- 8 months ago This is an amazing school with great resources! Despite the budget cuts, I was still able to get my business and marketing classes that I wanted to take. Great professors who still care when I transferred out. I recently just working with a marketing company and was responsible for maintaing our website. I had trouble at first getting the website going, but with some advice from my professors and knowledge I learned from my beginning marketing class I took at OCC, I was able to optimize my results. I also took advantage of majon.net, a site that helped me learn more about marketing and advertising that a colleague recommended. Great school!
