- Feb 9, 2012 Right in the heart of downtown Austin --6th street. I have seen mostly electronic music here as well as some funk. It's a small venue, but it is intimate and fun! Sound is good--sometimes overly loud. 2 bars.
- Feb 9, 2012 Between SXSW parties and random shows, I've seen some pretty good talent up in the Parish. The shotgun style venue makes for good acoustics and there is usually a little breathing room for those of us who don't like sweaty beasts jumping all up and down our backs during shows.

- Feb 8, 2012 I went here for my first time last week. First off, it's situated on dirty Sixth St. in such a way that I had never noticed it before. I admit that I was at first skeptical about a concert venue on Sixth St., but once you make it up the stairs, you completely forget about the drunken college kids screaming out on the streets below. The venue is quite intimate, and the bars are easily reachable. The sound is super loud, and the stage lighting was nice. I will definitely go back for another show.
- Feb 3, 2012 For being right on 6th street, The Parish is a nice escape. I'd prefer a cheaper bar but the atmosphere of the venue with the mood lighting and amazing wooden floors really can't be found anywhere else in the city. It's always a treat to visit.
