- Dec 6, 2011 High prices and bad food. I ordered the Barbecued Ribs, they were served heated up right out of the micro-wave. Some ribs were hot and some were not. This place is way overrated. I give it two stars because of the staff and atmosphere.
May 26, 2011 I love everything about this place! My husband and I eat here often and think it is the BEST restaurant in Chippewa Falls. The staff is outstanding, the owners are very friendly and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. During the summer months we love sitting on the patio or wandering through the lakeside 'garden' down to the water. We love this place! I also really like that the staff (every last one of them) treats you like a friend they've known for years and not just another nameless person they're waiting on. I really cannot say enough great things about this place. I am a HUGE fan.
- May 25, 2011 My husband and I checked out High Shores last weekend and had a wonderful experience. My husband had the bacon wrapped Filet Migon, cooked to perfection and I tried the BBQ Pork Ribs, which were tender, tangy and sweet all in one! We thought we got a lot of food for the money, with a choice of potatoe (I suggest the lyonnaise or ala dutch), plus the soup and huge salad bar. Also, the view of Lake Wissota is great. The staff was very attentive and the bar drinks were great too!
- Dec 21, 2009 REALLY REALLY GOOD This is an excellent restaurant. They have excellent food and excellent drinks. Sun - Thurs. they have a 2 for $29.95 menu. The 2 for $29.95 menu is pretty large with plenty of options to choose from depending on what you are in the mood for. Restaurant is very reasonably priced, and the service is excellent, and friendly.
- Jul 16, 2007 Restaurant owner threatened us with a stick My wife and I ate at High Shores and had an average meal for an above average price. We had our bicycles with us and wanted to take a short bike ride along the water. It was almost dusk so it would have been 30 minutes at most. The waitress (very nice) gave us some tips as to the bike trail and said we could leave our vehicle in the parking lot. They were not busy and the waitress said their reservation list was extremely light. The parking lot only had 3 other vehicles and there were numerous empty parking spots. As my wife and I were disconnecting our bikes, the owner of the restaurant ran out of the front door, grabbed a large stick that he must use for protection and he started yelling at us that we can't park our F%$&* vehicle in his lot. He was holding the stick above his head so I told my wife to quickly get in the vehicle as I attempted to calm the guy down. She was afraid enough to get in the vehicle and lock the doors (thanks hun:) I tried to explain to him that the ...
