Their merchandise is good. The location is fine, but more of a pain. However, the deal breaker here is the service. Their tailoring department is totally rogue, and does not complete the alterations in the way the pinning originally was set. My husband recently bought 5 pairs of expensive trousers here, had them all tailored, and then received them and the tailoring was totally off to the point that he couldn't get the pants on. When he complained they told him to basically eff off and that it was not their problem. I have had similar experiences (with fewer pieces of merchandise) where the tailoring comes in wonky and ill-fitting. We usually shop at Barneys and Nordstrom and similar stores, and think that buyers should beware here. This is our last time shopping at this store ever.

Jaw-droppingly gorgeous Even if you're like me, and don't have the extra $$$ to be shopping here, it's worth a trip just for the architecture alone. Louis would make a great weekend trip; parking is free -- they validate for the first 2 hours, even if you don't buy anything. They new location is right on the water at Fan Pier and the building is a modern marvel of metal, wood, and glass. The staff was very friendly (even if I was just a tire kicker) and they actually looked just happy to have some company. Talk a stroll on the Harborwalk that runs behind the store and check out the ICA next door.
