Go somewhere else | The rooms are not great but are ok for a short stay. My battle was with the heat... Even though I was there while temperatures were in the 40's, the heat in the entire building was turned off. After my first night I asked for it to be turned on- however, this only lasted about 24 hours. They refused to keep the heat on because a couple rooms had their windows open. I'm sure people had their windows open to try to alleviate the smell in some of the rooms. Whatever the case, I don't see how that is my problem. If I'ma paying customer, I should have the right to a warm, comfortable room. |

DO NOT STAY AT NORTHERN LIGHTS MOTEL | Staff is very rude, even when booking a reservation....guess they don't need your business too badly. I've stayed there before, with barely marginal service and very plain, unextravagant rooms (to say the least). As of the present day, they'll ask if you're a smoker, or non-smoker...to which I replied, "Doesn't matter, I have no preference", to which the rude twit on the other end of the line said "Yeah, it DOES matter, because if you smoke in one of our rooms it's $225.00." Wow. No worries, princess, I'll be staying somewhere else. Go back to reading your Cosmo magazine. All of you out there, do yourself a favor and do the same!!!! The Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center is MUCH better. |
