Not a winner | We ate here this evening and we were not impressed. The service was poor and slow. The food was rather dry and bland. The BBQ sauce is average. |

We thought it was terrible... | I wasn't looking for the Red Bones of central maine, but our visit to the Riverfront BBQ was less than stellar. The service was terrible, my little girl got sick, and they didn't even try to help us, with paper towels. The hot sauces we on a scary shelf most of them labeled refridg-after-opening. I had a pulled pork sandwich. Most places the pork falls out of the bun, here... reminded me of the old Wendy's commercial. "Sure is a flaky bun." Maybe if you've never been to a real BBQ joint you think this is BBQ. My Wife wanted to go here for her birthday, so we did, and we won't be going back. Its too bad, Augusta is starving for good eating establishments, that aren't chains. I guess we'll just keep eating in Hallowell. |
