This hospital treated me like solid gold, even tho I was an out of towner, on Medicaid. I could not have asked for better treatment or better care. The facility was clean, the people were great. I am a disabled RN, so I have seen and ...

Kino
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 By Ron W. - Aug 5, 2008
Saw your review. I have suffered depression for 20 years. Kino was the best hospital I was ever in. Even against many expensive private ones. And they were the only one in 20 years that provided follow up care. As to bad hospitals, ...

Worst experience in my LIFE
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 By robert - Nov 10, 2007
I voluntarily went into the ER for a simple evaluation, as suggested by my doctor so that I could seen by a specialist and get the medicine I need now instead of waiting several months for an appointment to open up. I was also reassured over and over again, that since I was going on my own free will, they could not keep me there against my will. They confined me, against my will, alone in a freezing cold room. Gave me a blanket with a piece of dried mucous on it the size of my hand. They kept me confined in this room for 6.5 hours. They would not allow me to see my husband or 12 week old daughter the whole time. After being informed that I am breastfeeding her, they still refused (it was "protocol" to confine all psych patients) They took my phone, wouldn't allow me to call other family members, or my therapist. The room I was confined to was FILTHY. A giant piece of poop on the floor under the toilet. The tile grout was full of black mold They took away my service dog ... More »

The room I was confined to was FILTHY. A giant piece of poop on the floor under the toilet. The tile grout was full of black mold They took away my service dog while he was actively working to manage my symptoms which were being caused by their abuse, and told me that he couldn't be there. That I could have no one and no thing in the room with me. They violated federal law in doing that, and hopefully the law will come crashing down on those moron's heads. I will never set foot in any hospital after this. I hope Kino hospital is fined heavily and shut down forever so they never traumatize an innocent person ever again. This is being reported to every agency I can think of. This place is totally unsanitary, and horrible. They violate your civil rights. If you are a psych patient, especially stay away because they will treat you like some kind of filthy animal. Note: This is being reviewed by Robert's wife, who does not have her own gmail account yet, but feels that this needs to be shared immediately to protect other members of the community. « Hide
