Some things you should know | We stayed for one night on December 23rd. The hotel is very clean. The rooms with 2 double beds are roomy. It is an excellent value for the price. This is not a seedy part of town. You may get a pan handler come up to you, but they are not pests and will just go away if you ignore them. Don't bother with the over priced restaurant in the hotel. Go across the street at the Olympic Cafe. You can get a good breakfast for about $8.00 or you can go to the many ethnic restaurants within 2 blocks. Davids and Max's (Jewish food) are our favorites but there are restaurants for every ethnic taste. Parking is another matter. The prices at the lot next door change at random times of the day and the rates are much too high. You can go to the public parking garage at O'farrel and Mason, about two blocks away and park over night for $15.00. |
