Honest and Efficient
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Atash - Sep 19, 2009
I am a Grad student, so I was using bikes for 3 year every single day. I tried different shops, some in Cambridge, some in other places. Hardly, I find any of them more honest than the guys of Bicycle Bill. I just bought a new single speed from them, for a very well price as compare with some other shops and comparing with online option. But the best I like about them is that when I ask them what do I have as option for fenders to add to my bike they gave me a much cheaper option, and they did not charge me for installation, whereas the other shops asked me 15$ only for fenders installation fee. Viva honesty!

no accountability
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 By dan - Aug 6, 2009
I brought my bike to Bill's and paid them $25 to box it so I could have it shipped. They neglected to put any protective equipment in the dropouts of my fork, which were subsequently damaged in shipping. When I called to investigate the issue, they refused to take any responsibility. In addition to the packing oversight and the unwillingness to consider the possibility that staff might have made a mistake, Bicycle Bill's also quoted me an inaccurate price for labor over the phone, and misled me as to the shipping and arrival date for my bike. I highly recommend frequenting another shop.

I went to day to install aa rack on my bike. I was turned away because... they are too busy to do the job! I will bring my business somewhere else, what a waste of time!

Really good place to get your bike
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Christopher - Jun 19, 2008
I went to almost every bike shop in Boston when I was buying my bike - Boston Bicycle, Back Bay Bicycle, Cambridge Bicycle, Landry's, International Bicycle, and ATA Cycle. Bicycle Bills has really great people working there. They were really friendly and helpful. Ultimately that why I ended up buying my bike there instead of another one from the guy at international bike who got all apprehensive and nervous and finally said "maybe" when i asked if i could get a bike i liked but pay to have it outfitted with racing bars instead of straight bars. Their selection is great, their staff know their stuff and are patient with people like me who don't know bike lingo, and I get free tuneups for 6 months. I couldn't ask for more.

They had bicycles in several prices ranges and did not try to force an expensive bike at you. They're also very friendly and helpful. I went to several bike shops in Boston and finally bought my bike here. ...
