- a week ago I had a ring made here in a Gabriel setting and I am thrilled with it. It is everything I hoped it could be. I found the people there to be very knowledgeable about diamonds and really held my hand. It's such a major decision. My engagement ring is fabulous and I would recommend this jewelry store to anybody looking for any jewelry but particularly an engagement ring. I cannot stop staring at my finger!
- 3 months ago Best jeweler in Richmond VA. My opinion! I had an old ring from the 20s that is very dear to me. The shank (the part around your finger) kept splitting. And it was very thin. So I took it to Carreras for repair. It was time to replace the shank and I had to agree as it kept splitting about every 9 months and I did not want to lose it. Plus it was pinching my finger. They did a fabulous job and I am so pleased with the results. For years I have looked for someone who can do decent antique jewelry repair.They often have coupons in their emails by the way. Just a tip. So if you sign up for their newsletter, you get all kinds of good stuff. I really like the M Pearl jewelry. Very different.
- 4 months ago A jewelry store that helps me find something in my price range. I've recently purchased two items from Carreras, both for my lovely wife. Found a beautiful teardrop necklace that was very reasonably priced as a surprise anniversary gift (after we said no gifts!). For Christmas, since I'm not the best jewelery shopper I purchased a Gift Certificate on-line and used as a stocking stuffer. There are certificates available in a variety of price ranges and it was a very simple process. For those guys who always seem to buy the wrong jewelry, the gift certificate is a great way to go.
- 6 months ago Proceed with caution. While my experience may not come to reflect what you encounter, the following should be considered. I was looking for a business with outstanding customer service and strong commitment to understanding my needs. Prior to walking into Carreras I had dealt with several other stores with the typical "car salesman" approach, which is a huge red flag in my opinion. I felt some relief when I first entered the store as I had been looking for someone to customize a piece of jewelry for me. To make a long story short, one of their employees examined my jewelry and made an offer; one that I knew was rather low. My reservations ended up paying off as I went to another store and got an official appraisal. Let's just say the difference was in the thousands. Therefore, either two things occurred while in Carreras, (1) the person who examined the jewelry had poor eyesight, faulty ...
- 2 years ago Love this richmond, va jewelry store! I love this store. Just bought two pair of gorgeous silver earrings for $100. Original and unique and I love the people that work there. And it's a great place for estate, antique and vintage jewelry. If you want an vintage diamond engagement ring, they have a fabulous selection. For diamond engagment rings and designer jewelry, nobody offers more options in Richmond VA.Tthey have jewelry that isn't what everyone else has. So for those with $40 to $40K, you can find something.
