It was horrible!! | The service was good, but the food was terrible! I can't believe everyone thinks this is great Mexican food. I have had excellent Mexican food several places all over the country, and I found this place to serve some of the worst! The salsa was bland, the chips were stale tasting, and our plates of food were bland; plate over flowing with lettuce, and no sauces to bring in any flavor. If it wasn't for the lettuce and sour cream, the enchiladas underneath would have looked naked. We left most of it on our plate and paid the $22.00 bill for the two meals! I am still burping it up! ....and their iced tea....tasted like ice water...very diluted. |

The best food I have ever... | My boyfriend and I recently visited El Jardin restaurant for the first time. He has a very "picky" palate and I am definitely more easily pleased. At the suggestion of the waiter, we ordered two of their lunch specials, and an appetizer of Nachos Con Carne. After completing our order, my boyfriend noticed a delicious looking soup at a nearby table, so we ordered their Shrimp Soup as well. The food: Everything was fantastic! The beef items tend to be slightly above average, but anything with chicken or pork truly shined! Both of us REALLY enjoyed our flautas (one was chicken, the other pork). My boyfriend loved the soup, which he noted was made with fresh, cooked to order shrimp. The prices: I could not believe how much food we got for the price we paid. The lunch specials - easily about 3 lbs of great Mexican food - were only about $7. The Nachos Con Carne, about the same size, was the same price. The staff: Our waiter was wonderful. Great Place To Eat! | I always have a great meal/time at El Jardin!!! It has great authentic Mexican food and on Monday and Tuesdays they have great drink deals! Great tasting, large margaritas for like 2 dollars! Ahhhmazing! |
