Not Even for the Fishball Soup | Anyone who says Eller's has the best of anything needs to get out more. All of the food items they sell are priced above their competitors. This would be ok if their food was better...... it's not. If you want to order something you'd better be able to point to it because the people running the place either can't or won't speak english. (They can't/won't speak spanish either, so don't bother.) They charge over $3 for a bagel and creamcheese, but they won't spread the creamcheese on the bagel and they won't heat the bagel unless you know the word for toaster in whatever language they speak. I suppose we're lucky they can even be bothered to CUT the bagel. So, to sum up: Are you tired of being treated well? Are you tired of getting decent food at reasonable prices? Then head on over to the dirty little wanna-be flea market called Eller's on upper State. Places like this exist because people are lazy enough to put up with poor ... More » |

Best Donuts in Town | I drove from IV to Milpas at least once a week to get Eller's donuts. They're just that good. The glazed donuts are light enough that you don't feel like you need a nap afterwards. The family that runs the place is great, too. All in all, best bet for donuts in the greater Goleta/SB area. |
