- Aug 17, 2010 Wedding!!! I attended my niece's wedding this past weekend at the family estate in Salinas (I traveled from Denver) and the food catered by Annie Hobbs reminded me of why people love to come to California - to eat!! The fresh salad that included organic striped beets, Salinas Salad Bowl baby lettuces, fresh mozzarella with raspberry colored heirloom tomatoes, green goddess on the perfectly cooked steak and of course the smokey mushrooms and fresh corn in the pasta salad. Dec 16, 2009 Made our wedding day SPECIAL!! A Taste of Elegance catered our wedding and no other company could of done what Annie and her staff did for us on our special day. Annie was able to create a delicious menu that appealed to all of our guests and to two different cultures. The food was excellent, presented beautifully, executed perfectly and all of our guests were impressed. Her staff was professional, very attentive and accommadating. Annie not only prepared amazing food for us, but she was also very helpful in assisting us with the planning of our wedding. We were amazed at the overall service that Annie gave us, she is completely professional and passionate. We highly recommend A Taste of Elegance to anyone who is in need of a caterer, you will not be disappointed.
- Oct 24, 2009 ABANDONED, four days before my event! DO NOT USE this company! Seemed to be a nice, creative person at the time of planning, then the weather became a little rainy and the owner must have assumed we would cancel? WHICH WE WOULD NEVER, and decided to double book another event for more revenue and dumped our event, FOUR DAYS BEFORE OUR PARTY! This left us scrambling last minute, but we have money, connections and resources being professionals and locals however..... I could not stop thinking about the WHAT IF -- as in WHAT IF I WAS SOME TEARFUL BRIDE TO BE counting on this company to make this day memorable, and stress free? So, I am compelled to write about this. My emails for planning the menu took an average of 4-6 days for a reply, my contracts were sent last minute and when it was time to sharpen our menu to something slightly within our budget ...
- Sep 23, 2009 Wedding Anniversary Party Made Special We used A Taste of Elegance to cater a celebration in our home for 40 people. Annie was wonderful from the very start; helping me design the menu, giving me feedback, and agreeing to modify standard items to fit my wishes. And the food was DELICIOUS. We received numerous comments from our guests on how tasty everything was. We had one minor issue, but Annie went beyond what was required to ensure that we had a positive experience. I would definitely use Taste of Elegance again.
