Typically nice, fun to visit | Nice stores. I've stopped at two of them, one to look at used bikes, and the other to look at parts. Both have friendly staff and I especially recommend the used/new bike shop. They let you test drive bikes, I've stopped a few times just to try out new bikes and styles (I'd recommend trying a fixie, even if you think they're lame, they are fun to ride!) |

FANTASTIC BIKE STORE!!! | I absolutely LOVED my experience buying my new bike at Budget Bikes! The staff member I worked with was outstanding! He spent a GREAT deal of time and energy with me to find a bike that fit my budget and my needs. The personal attention and customer service I received was unmatched by other bike shops in town. I was so impressed with the service I received that I returned to have them fix a bike I bought from another shop years ago. They have created a customer for life! |

"budget" is a misnomer | I would not recommend Budget Bicycle Center. In my experience, they charge significantly more than retail price, at least for parts and accessories. I bought a tail light for $20 last year, which fell off. I later found an identical light at Willy St Bikes for $13. I've also paid $10 for a $7 spoke wrench, and $9 for a $7 bottle of lubricant. Go to Yellow Jersey or Willy St Bikes instead. |
