- Feb 29, 2012 This gym really needs to update their equipment - it's the same equipment that's been there since it opened, 20 years ago. When I asked the owner if he had any plans to update he said, "No, it works fine." The thing is it does not work fine, a lot if it is really beat up and the whole gym has only one elliptical. Jerry, the owner, put a bill on my workout machine while I was on it - which was for a 6 month renewal. I thought that showed poor etiquette. Couldn't he have waited? Further, the guys sits at the front of the gym all day long and if you leave a magazine on a treadmill he will walk up to you and ask you to put it away when if it really bothered him, considering he is not doing anything, would be something he could easily do. If you're in Lakeview your options are limited but there has to be somewhere better than this.
- Aug 2, 2009 Small but effective Small gym (more of a store front really), that's more often empty then not. Jerry (?) runs the place and is usually sitting at the front desk. Doesn't have any features of the larger gyms outside of a bathroom. Pros: Cheap, relaxed, empty, good mix of equipment and absolutely no pressure about anything as far as signing up or canceling. Cons: small, no extras, no parking.
