- Jan 4, 2012 My Complements to whoever does their butchering, i ordered a $35 steak and the CUT was excellent not even the smallest bit of gristle. The preparation somehow managed to suck out all the flavor, and on a medium rare order (which was cooked rare) they even somehow managed to create a 'finish' that had that dry keep chewing and take a drink before you swallow quality - you know the one you expect from a $5 footlong at subway. were the price about half i would not complain, but for what they are charging i expected more, next time i want a good steak i'll go to Outback.
- Oct 11, 2011 I agree with the other reviews about the main menu - RIP OFF! With so many other great places to eat downtown I don't understand why anyone goes there for either menu. It must just be force of habit.
- Oct 1, 2011 Superb food and atmosphere!
- Sep 25, 2011 We like the bar/casual restaurant area, but not the "fancy" restaurant. The food doesn't seem special enough to justify the price in the full restaurant for the most part. The bar area is divided into two sections: one has great atmosphere with a fireplace and paintings, while the other has a classic bar feel and an outdoor area surrounded by plants. The food in those areas is good and moderately priced, though the selection is relatively small (note: you can also order from the full restaurant menu there if you want). It's difficult to rate the entire Depot in one review, because it comprises multiple distinct sitting areas.
- Sep 9, 2011 The main restaurant is too expensive for the food you receive and doesn't have a very special atmosphere. However, eating off of the bar menu either on the back porch/bar area or near the fireplace on the couches inside is really great. They have a very good selection of local beers, great sandwiches, and great appetizers. Service is always good. Basically, don't both sitting down with the actual dinner menu. Absolutely stop by after work with friends for a drink and snacks.
