Best Italian In Newport Beach! | I have lived in Newport my entire life (50 years) and Mama D's is by far the best we have ever experienced. The food is VERY tasty, the service is over-the-top friendly and the chocolate chip cookies that come with the check are the perfect topper. Upsides, great food, great service, waits seem short even on a busy night. Downsides are small parking lot, interior lighting could be less harsh and pretty noisy inside. As for some of your comments that the owner is a piece of work, I would surmise that some of you probably had a bit of a "tude" yourselves. I have had nothing but great experinces with the staff and the owner and we dine there at least once a week. |
