I'm an ice cream addict, and Greg Ice Cream has always been the Holy Grail of ice cream shops for me. The place used to be a favourite hangout for University of Toronto students in its old location further east on Bloor Street. Now at Bloor and Spadina, the shop is still owned by Greg Mahon and still uses all-natural ingredients.
The flavours change regularly from a list of over 100 flavours. Chocolaholics will be ecstatic to discover that almost 30 of those have the word "chocolate" in them!
I ordered the Cinnamon Nutmeg, which was spicy and hugely refreshing. I'd like to try Roasted Marshmallow next time, if it's available, since apparently it's his signature flavour. But then again, I also HAVE to try Pumpkin Raisin sometime. And Chocolate Ginger. And Chocolate Peanut Butter and Green Tea & Ginger and Licorice and Mandarin Orange and Durian. Okay, maybe not Durian.
