- Feb 18, 2012 We went to Metropolitan Grill for Valentine's Day and definitely did not get experience I was hoping for. We ordered pork chops and blackened prime rib, and while the quality of the meat was very good, it was not well-prepared. The waiter warned us that Metropolitan Grill cooked its meat on the rarer side, and that was certainly the case. We had to send the pork chops back they were so badly under-done, and the prime rib would have been considered rare at any other restaurant, when I ordered medium-rare. Worse, both meals, including sides, were severely over-salted, with the mashed potatoes being inedible as a result. Meat portions were obscenely too large. This meal for two cost $200, and left us disappointed. We won't be going back.
