- Mar 20, 2011 What has happened to the prices at this restaurant?!? $18 for Fish &Chips, seriously!?! We dropped $92 on two appetizers, one salad, one entree a dessert and two beers! This is not a 3 star restaurant by any means. Since 2010 it looks as though they've increased their prices about 35 maybe 40%! It simply isn't worth it. Sorry Half Moon as of March 2011 you have lost a customer of around 7 years.

Wonderful spot to sit and enjoy a cocktail while you're waiting for your fishermen to come in from their charter. I don't fish (don't do boats) so I had time to kill, and did the lighthouse, walked the beach, and then spent a few hours at the bar while I waited for the boys fishing charter to arrive. The bartender was really friendly did not rush me, although it was a pretty busy, sunny day. Bloody Marys are their signature drink, but I stuck with the blue moon on tap. Lots of folks drinking giant fish drinks and other colorful girly drinks, surprisingly. Had calamari and chowder for dinner, both good. I recommend. Gets very busy for dinner, there was a wait, and it seemed kind of chaotic, but service in the bar was excellent.
- Jul 14, 2010 Go Elsewhere II - not recommended The outside of the place needs lots of work (cleaned up and painted), getting rid of the weeds outside might be a good start. The inside is very dated. The whole establishment reminds me of a place that has seen better days and is just hanging on until the wrecking ball takes its first swing. The location does have a great view of the boats. That's about the only reason to go there though. We dropped in mid-afternoon and there was only one other table taken and three waitresses, so we had our choice of where to sit. The waitresses are very young and like most young people do, they enjoy chatting with each other. However, they were friendly and attentive after we eventually got served. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the quality of the food and in paticular, the bloody marys. The crabcakes were good, but not great. The celery in the bloody marys ...
- Jul 9, 2010 Go elsewhere - not recommended In spite of all the glowing "we won this or that award" PR junk in the lobby, we never got to eat. Their staff was terrible (the worst we've seen in decades), poorly trained, slow and too busy chatting each other up to wait on the suckers. It took 15 minutes to get a beer and good but pricey vodka tonic. Even tho' only 30% occupied by clients, after 25 minutes no one had come around for a dinner order so we walked out and went down the street.
- Feb 19, 2012 The food is good, not great but very expensive. It tries to be high end and nearly succeeds. The service was abysmal when we were there. It took an hour just to get menus after we moved from the bar to the restaurant and another hour to get the food. That was after the waiter, twice, put our food on the wrong table.
