- 3 years ago A nice lookout at the Nimitz Way trailhead This is a great place to start on a walk or a run. There's ample parking, a nice view of San Pablo Reservoir (when the fog clears), and it's a nice size - not too big or crowded. A paved trail called Nimitz Way starts by the bathrooms at the southwest end of the viewpoint area. It's not too hilly, so it's good for casual walkers and kids learning their bikes. For more ambitious runners, it connects to a couple of 7 to 10 mile challenging loops.
