- Oct 4, 2011 I love this place, altho I really only get their chicken panang and sushi, but both are the best I have found in the area. The rose roll is awesome
- Sep 14, 2011 This restaurant is beautifully decorated in traditional Thai decor. I love the booths. Some nights though, there's really loud music playing in the kitchen and it disrupts the serene feeling of the restaurant. The sushi here is pretty good, but I have found the entrees to be on the bland side. Portions are great, but there's just not the brightness that one expects from Thai food. I do like that they have a macrobiotic menu. I've been spoiled by the super friendly staffs at Thai Bay, Chiang Mai and Thai Town and there's just not that sweet attitude at Ban Thai.
- Sep 11, 2011 I enjoyed my experience here, but not enough to rate it 5 stars. The lady and man who waited on my table were courteous and efficient, but another young waitress was rude to my boyfriend as he was walking back to our table from the restroom. I loved the array of dishes to choose from on both the sushi and Thai menus and how quickly all the entrees came out. All the dishes unfortunately tasted a bit on the bland side and Thai hot came out to be barely spicy....kinda disappointing. I wouldn't discourage anyone from not trying this place, but for myself , I'll be going back to my favorite Thai restaurant - Little Thai Cafe in Tarpon Springs!
- Aug 5, 2011 Delicious food, prompt and courteous service, and great value. My rating was just a shade below the fifth star because my entree wasn't to die for, just above average. A light soup, nice spring roll with yummy dipping sauce, spicy curry beef garnished with an edible orchid, and by my best guess, a couple of Thai donut sticks topped it all off for a paltry $6.95. I look forward to going back to try the duck because it has become much harder to come by in restaurants. Yum!
