- Jan 17, 2012 Went above and beyond what I had expected from this shop. I had my trans rebuilt, and torque converter replaced. After the warrantee ran out I had another issue with my trans and torque converter. After calling and expressing my disappointment in the service and how short it lasted, Dante offered to help me out by covering the labor on the repairs (Definitley the bigger portion of the repair). I really expected to have to fight tooth and nail to get anything from it since the repairs were out of warrantee, but I was really surprised.
- Oct 14, 2011 I almost wondered if the owners had written these reviews because they were so positive -- but they deserve every bit of praise they've gotten. Dante took the time to refer me to the most appropriate places for additional service (beyond transmission) I needed as well. I can't say enough about how impressive Dante and Benchmark are. Wow.....
- Apr 21, 2011 Integrity & Honesty is something that can be hard to find these days! Dante and his staff offer just that along with superb and quality service at Benchmark Transmission of Newark, DE. Having a daughter that just turned 16, we were faced not only putting her out on the roads, but finding a car that was safe and reliable for her to drive. Dante and staff were there to help us determine if our 1991 vehicle that needed a transmission was worth fixing and handing down to our daughter. Dante took the time to go over the vehicle to ensure safety and reliability. The transmission service they provided was OUTSTANDING quality and the car drives like new thanks to Benchmark. - Aug 21, 2010 Old fashioned, good and honest service These guys are great, and they really know what they're doing. If you decide to get any transmission work done, these guys are definitely worth it. They're really patient in breaking everything down for you, and they are truly invested in helping you make the best possible decision(s). After dealing with mechanics all over the US, I've got to say that these guys are some of my favorites. This place definitely comes with my top recommendation.
- Feb 11, 2010 Friendly Quality Service I own 4 vehicles, 3 Ford Explorers (92, 93, 95) and a 99 Subaru Legacy. I can't even begin to describe the way I feel about not only the quality of service that I have recieved from Benchmark over the years, but more importantly the friendliness of Dante himself in doing so. I have had to have transmission work of all sorts on each one of my old vehicles over the past 10 years for one reason or another, and in every instance I have received what I considered to be the best service around, at the fairest price possible, and in the most timely of manner. I would recommend anyone to Benchmark, to me you just can't go wrong.
