- Feb 16, 2012 I went in for a new pair of hiking boots. The girl that "helped" me was not only rude but not helpful. She did not give her name but I heard another employee call her Paige. If you're in Louisville, shop at the trail store or online. The entire staff as not knowledgeable on any of the store's gear.
- Jan 21, 2012 The selection was pretty good. They have a lot of stuff crammed into a relatively small space. I had to exchange a xmas gift for another size and the male employee who greeted me was helpful but quite rude. This seems to be a common trait among employees at this location. For me, paying full-blown retail is based upon the condition that I receive friendly and helpful customer service. I did not receive that at the Summit store.
- Dec 26, 2011 I've shopped around Quest Outdoors in the Summit for a few years now. I've purchased boots, socks, assorted camping gear etc. They have a fairly nice selection of high-end products and the staff has always been around to help me with any questions or recommendations. I'm currently on my way there now to pick out some hiking pants with my gift card. I gave 4 stars because they're a little more expensive than some prices online, but its nice to buy local if you don't care about the extra few bucks.
- Dec 16, 2011 Don't waste your time at this location. There is no employee here that knows how to engage with customers, nor knows how to run a business. When I walked in to do an exchange, because my item had broken after first use, there were 5 people behind the counter talking to each other--not even acknowledging I was there--finally one girl turned around, heard my story (and could care less) and told me I could find another one. There was no apology for the bottle breaking or that I was dissatisfied with my purchase. All of the employees are wannabee "outdoorsy" people who might look like they know their product well, but don't care to give their customers the time of day. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere where the people are friendly and actually care that you are in their store.
- Dec 13, 2010 Great gear, great staff, great location. Its not what you're looking for if you're hunting bargains, but I love the place.
