Regretfully, my experience with RaeLynn's has been less than stellar. My daughter purchased a dress accompanied by her father. I was away at a retreat but was called by my daughter to pay the balance with my cc over the phone. I did so reluctantly but figured if there was a problem, I would return it. Firstly, I am a business owner with a background in retail. As a salesperson trained in consultative sales techniques, I fail to understand why the return policy was not explained to me and my daughter was sold a 0 and she is a solid size 2. Just because a dress zips does not mean it fits. To add insult to injury, the $345 dollar dress had several beads missing, stains and snags all throughout the chiffon, rip in the zipper area. I called the store early in the week when I discovered all of the problems and advised that my daughter gave me a receipt indicating the inflexible return policy. The person I spoke with was condescending and nasty and offered me no consolation. So, angrily ... Regretfully, my experience with RaeLynn's has been less than stellar. The dress required $80 in alterations and an additional $20 for cleaning, so now I am at $445. The dress was so soiled that the dry cleaner could not get all of the stains out and imagine my shock and anger when I picked up the dress when the seamstress told me that the dress had been altered before. With this news, I had to take the opportunity to call RaeLynn's for a second time. since the person I spoke with earlier in the week mentioned that their dresses are off the runway...blah..blah..blah, I wanted to verify if they were resale or consignment. I was really confused at this point. surely, that was the answer. LOL! I explained all that had occurred to a much nicer "manager on duty." She advised that had my daughter and her dad advised of the problems, they would have discounted at purchase and that they are not known for this type of service and quality issue. She stated though she could not commit to doing anything for me, she would speak with the owner and to tell my daughter that she was going to be beautiful for her Prom and to not let this affect her having a great time, etc. She also told me that another customer had recently accused them of the same issue with a dress having been altered previously and that this could not be possible. Hmm, so I am not alone. My alterations professional strongly disagrees and has the fabric showing proof of it being altered. Needless to say, there is more, but I am tired of typing. My first prom experience was ruined and I am still waiting for that call. I wonder if it was the fact that my daughter is African American or was it just an opportunity to make a quick sale. Yes, one might argue her dad should have been more attentive. Really? It was not his cc taken over the phone. One might argue my daughter should have been more attentive. Really? 16-year old thing about being one week from prom and needing a dress. So, I may never get an acceptable resolution. I cannot rate as "Hated it", because of the person I spoke with on Saturday and the fact that I have never stepped foot in the store. I am connected in the business community and the power of the pen and word of mouth will ensure that no one that I know will support RaeLynn's Boutique.

I went into Rae Lynns for the first time this prom season. I was throughly impressed with the selection of dresses that they had. The staff was extremely nice and acted as if they knew you. I plan on returning year after year with my daughters. EXCELENT EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!

we visited 5 stores today to look for my prom dress. after driving all over indianapolis, I now wish we would have going to raelynns first. they had an awesome selection still and the girls that helped me were soooo friendly. I found my dress and love it! Thank you!

Rae Lynns has awesome staff and fantastic inventory to choose from. They truely are the best store we shopped at in Indy and and cant wait to shop there again
