- Dec 19, 2011 Saw Daniel Reichard from the original cast of the Jersey Boys the other night at Triad and the space and the show were both amazing. Daniel sounded great doing his Holiday show and the venue itself is super cool. I had 2 beers ( $8 each ) and my friend has 2 glasses of wine ( $9 each ) so the prices were reasonable for going out in New York City. The waitress Gina was really sweet and took good care of us. I've been to see a lot of my friends who are performers in Broadway shows at Triad and I am always amazed how beautiful the venue looks. Reminds me of being in a swanky Nightclub in the 1930's.
- Dec 16, 2011 The Triad is a jewel-box of a theater – designed to look like a scaled-down version of the old Cinema Palaces, I suppose. It's really cool. I've attended a few great shows there, and recently saw Matthew Broderick in Celebrity Autobiography. The performance was, as promised in their blurbs, so hilarious at times it was hard to breathe! The theater serves a very respectable cocktail and was reasonably priced. Premium beer and wine was about $8.00, so I think prices seemed reasonable for New York City, where I usually expect to pay more at most nightclubs and bars. I guess if you are a complete non-drinker it might seem like bottled water or a soft-drink is a bit pricey. We had comfortable seats on the middle banquettes that were soft, new and plush, and the waitress who served us was quite friendly. Actually, there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the ...
- Nov 17, 2011 THE WORST PLACE I'VE EVER SEEN! They don't tell you before you buy a ticket that it's a 2 drink min or 18% tip will be added to all bills. Lets see...2 glasses of water + tip = almost $17!!! Four cokes (the ones that come out that hand held fountian behind the bar which actually cost abot 10 cents) $42!! Waitress is arrogant and pushy. Don't sell drinks most people like. They also dont tell you is cash only until its time to pay because they expect everyone to carry $200+ on them. I will never ever in my life ever go back there and I tell everyone I know what a horrible experience I had. 2 drink min is BS, where do they get the nerve. I paid for a ticket to get in; I shouldn't have to buy anything!
- Oct 13, 2011 Beautiful theatre. Love the burlesque shows. Had a good experience with the staff. Drinks are pricey - $7 is too much for a water or a soda, even in NYC, not cool if you don't drink, or bring friends who don't drink.
- Sep 23, 2011 Awesome Night! I went to the Triad Theater the other night to see Celebrity Autobiography. Great show - and the theater itself is really beautiful. Kind of amazing to see such a small beautiful theater where you would least expect it. I think there's a two drink minimum for most shows but the drinks are reasonably priced. The most expensive thing on the menu was their martinis, and those were only $12. I'm used to paying more when I go out in the city. Plus my mango martinis were HUGE! They don't skimp on the alcohol. :) The only thing that was kind of expensive was their non-alcoholic drinks - Might as well have a cocktail. The staff was very professional, friendly and completely unobtrusive. I highly recommend both "Celebrity Autobiography" and The Triad in general. My friends and I are actually going back to see another show there called "Erotic Broadway" which looks pretty hot.
