- Sep 11, 2011 My dog is pretty easy going, a little shy, but loves to run around at day care. When we lived in Baltimore she would squeak with excitement when we pulled into the daycare parking lot. After taking our dog to Dogtopia for about 6 months the last 2 visits have insured we will never take her back. In June when we picked our dog up her bed was soaked in urine, her food was in some saran wrap. I was concerned, so I called and spoke to a shift leader. She provided a plausable explanation for the food. She also said that the drop off people must not have understood that my dog needs to be in a crate with a pee pad.(Even though 6 pads per day were given) We dropped our little dog again in July. When we picked her up this time, it was clear her pads ...
- Aug 1, 2011 My dogs, Tobey and Tallulah really enjoy coming to Dogtopia. And I always am glad when the staff at the desk greet them by name when we drop them off.
- Oct 13, 2010 They are rude and disrespectful. I had an interview with Dogtopia for a new position. This was at the original location in Rockville. After a really good interview with Jacob, I was told that I would have a 2nd interview with the owner of the franchise, Amy. I was never called back. I didn't even get a considerate email, nothing. I was lead to believe that I had an actual chance for the position. I was thinking of bringing my dog in for all of their services. Not now or ever. I will go out of my way to not recommend them. I am glad I will not work there if they are going to be rude and inconsiderate. I also read of other bad reviews about this company on other sites and I will take that into consideration.
- Aug 25, 2010 I can't help but wonder.... I started taking my dog to Dogtopia after checking the web reviews on all the daycares that are near me. Recently, I found out that passes bought at the Rockville location are also good at the Tyson's Corner location, because they're owned by the same person. This struck me as odd because when I did my research, I had thought that the review from "Robyn" sounded suspiciously like ad-copy and when I clicked on her name, I saw that she had given a 5-star reviews to the Dogtopia's in Rockville and Tyson's Corner. The only other place she's reviewed is a Dogtopia in Massachusetts and she says it looks closed. She gave it one-star: I guess this is supposed to convince us that she didn't make 'fake' positive reviews for the two Dogtopias that are still here (and owned by the same person). If this was done on purpose by a Dogtopia employee then it strikes me as extremely unethical and dishonest. It also makes me wonder how many of the positive reviews here are real.
