- Feb 15, 2012 Service is okay. Sometimes I get ignored by staff and the prices are pretty high. There's also a limited variety of products.
- Jun 17, 2011 I had a flat tire, so I went in to get it fixed, and meanwhile, I decided to purchase a liner from the shop and get them to install while fixing the flat. They charge labor twice!!!! Simply because they have to put in the liner before putting in a new tube??? I think this place is ripping people off. Shop likes this one won't be able to survive in a regular city...
- May 21, 2011 The Bicycle Shop is hands-down one of the best local bike shops I've ever been to. Their staff is friendly, professional, and clearly both knowledgeable AND passionate about cycling. The interior of the shop is spacious, open, and well-stocked -- so you can find what you need and get back on your bike in less time. I highly, highly recommend this shop!
- Nov 9, 2010 rude. I went to this shop around May of 2010 to get a tune up on my bike. Lets just say that Jack was very rude and acted as he didnt have time for me the customer because my Trek was not purchased at that location it was bought in hawaii. Needless to say i walked out. Its a little farther of a drive but the bike depot in havelock is super friendly and very nice. although the shop is very cluttered
- Oct 7, 2007 The Bicycle Shop in Jacksonville, NC I moved into Jacksonville about a month ago and decided I wanted to get a bike for riding. I found the The Bicycle Shop and was really shocked at what a nice shop they have in the small town of Jacksonville. This shop rivals any shop I have been to in my life. I would have never guessed a shop like this would be there as I have driven by the location many times and never went inside. The owner Jack and his staff are extremely knowledgable and have many of the latest products. They even make their own bikes and have a full blown machine shop in the store to handle the most unusual requests. They have all the bikes from kids bikes to road and mtn bikes. The prices seemed really good also. The shop also has a nice service department and will work on any brand of bike. They are also a good source for information if you are looking to find trails to ride on, a local bike club, or group rides and races. As another poster said ... Just look for the crazy painted VW bus.
