Amber Light Inn 901 N Gaskill St, Huntsville, AR 72740
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL - Oct 20, 2007
After calling the Faubus Motel and speaking with the rude owner, James, I called this Amber Light Inn. When the manager, Sherisa answered, she said that this was the Eagles Nest Motel. I had asked for the price of a double bed room for two people and she was very polite, professional, and answered all my questions. I explained that a cousin of mine and I was coming to Huntsvilles at the end of the month, we needed to rent a room. She quoted me the price of $45 plus tax, which came to $49.05. She asked if we were coffee drinkers, I said yes, then she said that she will have a coffee pot, sugar, cremer, coffee in filters, in the room for the next morning. There was a microwave and a fridge in each room. I ask about whether all her rooms were non-smoking rooms or did she have a few smoking rooms. She said she had both smoking and non-smoking rooms for her customers.

I had explained that I got the information about this motel on the google site over the internet and there was one bad review. She said that her boss had to take over the motel back in March, 2007 and the motel was in very bad shape along with a bad reputation due to the previous managers/owners. Her boss had to spend alot of money or repainting and repairing walls, new beds -matteresses, sheets, comforters, towels, shampooing carpets, etc to get this motel back in shape for decent people to come and have a comfortable stay while visiting Huntsville for whatever reason. She did not ask me why we were coming to Huntsville, if my cousin was male or female, but was very accommodating to all specific questions I had ask her in finding a comfortable, clean motel to stay at for the night. She said that check-in was when we had gotten there and check out was 11 am the next morning.

Just by speaking to her over the phone, I would recommend anyone calling and making researvations to stay at the motel. Her boss is a coach in St. Paul, a small town school just a few miles from there and they are trying very hard to make this motel a very nice stay for people to come and visit their wonderful town Huntsville and the surrounding areas. I was very impress with Sheresa, the manager at this motel. They have changed the name to EAGLES NEST. I do not impress very easily but this wonderful lady impressed me greatly just talking to her just for a few minutes.
Faubus Motel 301 S Harris St, Huntsville, AR 72740
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 DO NOT CALL FOR RESERVATION OR STAY AT THIS MOTEL - Oct 20, 2007
I called this evening to get prices for a double bed room, for two people, that I would be in Huntsville, be staying for one night. He is a very noisy and rude person. He started to ask who else would be staying the night with me, explained to him that a cousin of mine and I would be staying the night. ( Due to the fact that it was none of his business of why we would be there or that we had personal business to take care of the next day, I did not tell him.) He then ask me my name and if he knew me. I told him that he did not know me. He then asked if my cousin was girl cousin, I said no, then he preceded to tell me that I needed two rooms instead of one room. I told him that I did not need two rooms, that I had asked for the price of ONE room with two beds in it. He finally told me that the price is $60 plus tax. Then I asked how much is it then with the total, he said $66.60 for the one room.

I would not recommend this motel for anyone to stay in for even five minutes but less pay the price of $60.00 plus tax to anyone to stay the night. When a person calls for price of a room, whether it was for one or two nights, family, friends, or whoever, then that is what this manger needs to tell the caller. Not to start getting noisy and asking if the people are male or female.

The Huntsville Chamber of Commerce really needs to tell motel owner to become a more professional business owner or do not register with them. Business owners like him really makes this town to look bad that visitors would not come and visit this area. This is a very nice area to visit but not to stay in a motel where the owner is rude, noisy and stupid. I would have went to Fayettevile, Springdale, or any place else to rent a motel room before I would stay here at Faubus Motel.
