We went several times for lunch, not for dinner. The lunch is always a buffet. | I was searching on internet for a south Indian restaurant while I was on a business trip to Denver and came across Masala. I went through the customer reviews, only few reviews were in favour of this restaurant most of the reviews rating was not that great. But common opinion among all the review was food was great especially Tiffins. I went there and eat Idly and Dosa and felt the taste was out of the world, atleast I did not eat that tasty DOSA in my 5 yrs of stay in the US. I would recommend any south indian food lover to visit MASALA atleast once. Service is good. waiting time was also was very less. Quantity for the price they charged is very very reasonable. - By Gopal (Seattle, WA) « Hide |

| Unfortunately, this is the only place in CO for south indian food. They have a luch buffet. Don't go for it. Its cheap and dirty. Morever, you feel being watched for how much you eat. They even charge for kid 3 yr old. Thalis are disasters. Only average thing is masala dosa, but the sambhar is horrible. « Hide |
| Best, most innovative... - Tom - Sep 7, 2009 | Best, most innovative restaurant in Denver area. There isn't anything else like this South Indian slice of heaven in a strip mall. Homemade, and no two buffets are ever the same. Probably best for adventurous eaters who love spicy food. ... |

| I've been going to Masalaa for a few years now. They have incredible food, especially their dosas. Prices are reasonable, and I have yet to find Indian food that matches Masalaa's quality. Admittedly, their service is not stellar, but the owner and staff are always willing to answer questions and help you tailor your meal to your liking. « Hide |

| Masalaa has slipped and continues to slip. We have chosen to never go back. Our children who LOVE Indian food and has exceptional taste, when we mention plans to eat out, first say unanimously, "anywhere but to Masalaa". We know that we would LOVE to go to a place which only has a vegetarian menu and there are not many such restaurants in town, are so put off by the TOTAL LACK OF SERVICE AT THIS PLACE, we would rather settle for a simple one course meal at home. The quality of food and the size of the portions have also declined significantly in the past year and continue to decline. True it is that there is some South Indian fare that is available here which is not available elsewhere in town, I just do not feel good to go to a restaurant where there is virtually no service. I have voiced my dissatisfaction with the management several times but apparently this has gone unheeded. « Hide |

| the heavy plastic tablecloth was sticky and the floor under the table was sticky from dirt/grease build up. I told the staff about this when we left. They told us that it would be cleaned on Wednesday, today was Monday. ! If they cannot be bothered to clean the area where the customers eat, I hate to imagine what the area is like that the customers do not see, say in the kitchen and food prep area. The food was very good, but I will not be eating here again. The cleanliness really needs to be improved. « Hide |

| Wow! this place is far from most of the metro area, but boy is it worth the trip. My family has been going to this restaurant for a few years now. South Indian food is pretty different from the North Indian fare you get at most Indian restaurants. The menu can be a little daunting until you have some idea of what is what. However, you cannot go wrong with any of the appetizers. These are mostly spiced, fried items, served with several kinds of chutney that are all sublime. My favorite entree is dosa which is a crisp, thin flatbread filled with potato masala. My young daughter loves this place as well and is a huge fan of dosa with ghee. If this place is far from your home, combine the trip with an outing to the Indian grocery in the same strip or a trip to H Mart, the Asian/international grocery on Parker road nearby. « Hide |
