| I went to Himalayas restaurant after reading the reviews. It was on sunday, there were only 3 tables which were full during lunch buffet @12.30. The food was ok, but did not have many varities.Rice was a bit hard and samosa tray was having only 2 pieces left which was never refilled. The service was extreamly bad, no one took the empty plates and neither provided "Nun(indian bread)" which comes in buffet on the table. When I asked they ignored and smiled as if thats how it works. The place was wierd and uncomfortable.I am really disppointed and not sure how people write good reviews of that place ! « Hide |
| | I've tried 2 vegetarian dishes (saag and eggplant). I thought they were both excellent. The service and atmosphere was also nice. |

| New cook and management. The old delicious recipes are dead. Unfortunately, this has gone from one of my all time favorite Indian restaurants to the worst I've ever been too. Poor service, twice as expensive for dinner as before, terrible new recipes for dal (tasted like pork and beans..no joke), gristly lamb dishes, bad thick heavy dry naan, lame dry chicken tika, no flavor saag, etc. $35 for small tali combination and a tea, which didn't even come with a samosa (but they do give you lots of their heavy mortar dough naan to try and fill you up, so you overlook the meek portions in a few small dishes). I overheard another table saying that the new cook is from Boulder's Tandori Grill. No more dinner buffet either. Sorry, this place should be avoided if you want good Indian food. Now the best tasting and best value Indian restaurant in the area is Namaste in Lakewood (Hampden & Wasdsworth area). Others downtown and in Tamarac Square area can also deliver your Indian fix. « Hide |
