Great concept, and they're almost up to par with the quality. The selection of dishes is fantastic, and the prices are certainly right, but of course it's difficult to ... |

We went with our kid here and we ended up in Lunch Buffet. The food variety is good and lot of Indian dishes. Not much spicy and good for kids too. Our kid really enjoyed the lunch and the service is awesome. A must place to visit when you visit Boulder, Colorado. Worth for the price paid. « Hide

We have eaten at this restaurant almost weekly for over a decade. The food is delicious (occasionally extraordinary) and offers a good variety of vegetarian, non-vegetarian and even gluten-free dishes. We find the service friendly. It is buffet style. I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about. The price for an all-you-can-eat lunch is extremely reasonable. « Hide

Its true for around a year and a half, two or three years back or even longer, Taj seemed to be going downhill because of the service and such, but go back! Their food has never been better. The saag, their most popular dish is creamy and spiced perfectly and as a matter o factly much healthier than what you would get at Tandoori Grill or any other indian restaurant. Their curries are flavorful and authentic but is balanced, and the Naan is so delicious! Dont anywhere else for chai, cause if you are, you are missing out. I was at the Taj today a bit early before opening time and the owner, a beautiful smiley lady had made the chai fresh with her own special secret exotic recipe. Tajs service has become so much better now as well. The owners and their workers are like family and give great service. I eat their every week and have never gotten tired of it, so if you are new in town, or have had a bad past experience, try the Taj again. Its never been better! « Hide

We go to Taj often because it's close to where we live. The food is good: not too many choices but what they do offer tastes good and fresh. The sauces are superb! They also offer decaf Chai, which is still missing in Tandoori Grill. Kids at 5 or under can eat for free. The down side is the service is not quite up to the standard. In several occasions, we had to ask for Nan at least twice. And the waiter/waitresses are often not too friendly, to put it mildly. Bottom liine: it's a good place to take your family to for a casual dinner, but probably not a place to impress your friends with! « Hide

We were there last night, 6 of us. The food in the buffet was decent, nothing spectacular but good overall. Other than the deserts, the gajar (carrot) -halwa, lacked flavor, the mango custard was just tooo sweet. It also appeared they forgot to add flavor to the rice pudding. The service was pathetic, and I am trying to be nice. I was ordering drinks and the guy started to walk in the middle of the order, to my frustration..I basically had to ask him to go F#$k himself! Things didnt improve at all service wise either. I had to remind him that we needed Nan (bread) as we had started eating and no one served us!!!! I would go but be prepared to have random ppl come and serve you whenever they want. « Hide

This was the WORST Indian food I have ever had-the dishes were watery and completely underseasoned. My dish actually looked like vomit-the sauce had seperated and the kofta was super sweet. We got there late at night and it was obvious our server just wanted us to go through the buffet line, and when we chose not to do that she got kind of pissy. When we complained about the food she asked if we wanted her to "just add some spices"- guarantee that would not have solved my problem! « Hide
