Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Decent and interesting - A TripAdvisor Member - Jun 12, 2009
I have only eaten Indian food once before, so I went to Bombay Club for lunch as they have a buffet for $9.95. I liked that I could try different things without commiting to a whole plate. The service was good for drinks. The food ...

This second-floor spot overlooking Harvard Square gained fame through its lunch buffet, a generous assortment of some of the best items on the menu. The buffet's reasonable price and the lively scene make midday the best time to ...

The dining experience at Bombay Club in Harvard Sq. was simply horrible. To begin with, the food was tasteless and overpriced. Even if you could excuse the crowded and noisy ambiance, the the service was terrible. The waiter sprinted away from our table soon after my husband and I were served. We had a very bad time summoning him back for making him understand what we really wanted! « Hide

Service is alright, I just feel bad for the poor waiter who had to serve us that crappy food. The food was terrible, below average and really bad. Also very pricey, $20 for beriani that tasted like crap, is way way way too much. Drinks are $2.25 and are in really small proportions. « Hide
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Average and pricey - A TripAdvisor Member - Aug 4, 2009
I ate at Bombay Club on 7-29-09. It looked like a nice place and had "restaurant of the year" type notices posted outside with the menu. The service, though, was awful and the food very average. I ordered a vegetarian Thali. ...
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Pretty bad, never again. - A TripAdvisor Member - May 11, 2009
The club is a shadow of what it used to be and even then it wasn't much. The place is beat, so if you like to look at walls with chunks of plaster missing, worn out carpets and furniture, dead flies or some kind of insects lodged ...
Rather Ordinary - Member, Westwood - Apr 7, 2009
Actually a very ordinary place. Has a nice decor and service is friendly but food just nothing special and very very pricey. Many great Indian restaurants in Boston/Cambridge. Tamarind Restaurant is diagonally across the street and has ...

from the menu. They gave me food straight from the buffet and charged me the full menu price which cost a lot more than what the buffet cost. Never going there again. ...

I am sorry to have to share an unfortunate experience with this restaurant. The service was not friendly, the food was not good, the portions were microscopic, the prices, however, were not. We had an $8 salad consisting of a handful of old spinach leaves with half a beet and some feta crumbs. Then, for $19 I got five pieces of grilled lamb meat together with a diced tomato and a naan bread. For the additional naan bread I had to pay extra. In the end we left $35 per person at this place and went straight to Bartley's to eat a burger. « Hide

out for good Indian food! I loved this place. We ordered a bunch of different things and shared... the waitstaffed tried to pressure us into each ordereing our own dish, but my co-worker insisted it would be too much food. We stuck to our guns, and we were ...

experience...if you like looking for parking, it can be a good one. If not, it can be quite a stressful time! On the whole, the place looks good, service is pretty okay, and the food is mediocre. It has the staple variety of Indian cuisine- nothing to write home about. ...
I was very pleased with the cuisine... - DanielL9412 - Oct 3, 2008
at Bombay Club. The food is authentic, and the chefs know how to make a spicy dish! The chicken vindaloo was very good, with tender chicken and a fiery red sauce. The location on the second floor overlooking part of Harvard Square is a plus. ...
