My husband and I went to this place with a lot of expectation. To our surprise the food was very bad -dry rice and tasteless curries. We got there late in the afternoon and the waiter offered us the buffet ,as we started to serve another waiter came up to say it was closing time so we had to grab all that we could at the same time. Overall the experience was bad at quite a high cost! « Hide

I have eaten Indian food all over the country, it is my favorite cuisine. Kashmir is way way low on the list for good food. The mint chutney was barely spicy, the waiter didn't have a clue what I was saying to him, silverware is dirty, and you had to practically throw road flares to signal the waiter. WAY WAY OVERPRICED.... honestly this place is a horror show and is a disgrace to Indian food. « Hide

For appetizers, we had the Kashmiri Vegetarian sampler that included a nice selection of pakora, samosa and the like. As per my preference, the meal was accompanied by bread (an especially tasty and well done naan in this case), rice, and raita. I always find it a special touch when served a nice pickle tray, and Kashmir provided a nice selection of chutneys for the meal. Feeling in a fowl mood, my companion and I selected two chicken dishes, Chicken Murgh Masala and Chicken Tikka Saag. Both were well done and served over tiny flames to retain heat. The Tikka Saag was quite good, but the Murg Masala was the winner of the two. More: http://udc641.blogspot.com/2008/11/shangri-la-beneath-november-moon.html « Hide
