This sweet little restaurant serves some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. The homemade corn tortillas are perfect--soft, warm and flavorful--and they're perfect for rolling around carnitas and sopping the perfect sauces. ...

Enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago, and found the food every bit as delicious as we heard! Ordered the Carnitas and Chile Verde, followed by Flan. Tender and meltingly memorable, the Carnitas was the starring dish. ...

This is a very small Mexican restaurant - 10 tables? - whose food belies the appearance of the place. It is NOT Tex-Mex - no fajitas, hard shell tacos, or chips and dip. But the freshly made tamales (wrapped in banana leaves) and ...

Road Trip - Deborah McIntosh - Apr 2, 2009 | We literally structured a weekend roadtrip from Vancouver, British Columbia to Lacey, Washington just for its proximity to La Tarasca (about another 30 minutes south of Lacey on the I-5). No Tex-Mex here, the owners are from the Mexican ... |

My family and I were looking for a break from the over-priced food on our stay at The Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. We were headed for the McMenamin's in Centralia when we saw La Tarasca. It looked like a quaint little place, ...

La Tarasca is one of THE BEST mexican restaurants in western washington. We dont get over there very often anymore since we moved away, but try to get there when we can. Now we are in eastern washington (with a predominent hispanic population), and suprisingly its still very hard to find a really GOOD authentic mexican restaurant that measures up to this place. This is a family run restaurant, the Ayalas are super friendly. If you have very high expectations and consider yourself to be a mexican-food-snob (like myself), you will not be dissapointed. Every dish is first rate. « Hide
