Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Love on a plate! - A TripAdvisor Member - Jul 2, 2008
This sweet little restaurant serves some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. The homemade corn tortillas are perfect--soft, warm and flavorful--and they're perfect for rolling around carnitas and sopping the perfect sauces. ...
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 La Tarasca- Tasty As Promised - A TripAdvisor Member - Oct 26, 2009
Enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago, and found the food every bit as delicious as we heard! Ordered the Carnitas and Chile Verde, followed by Flan. Tender and meltingly memorable, the Carnitas was the starring dish. ...

Friends highly recommended my husband & I stop here on our way from Portland to Sequim (about an hour and a half into the trip). Such delicious, inexpensive food and the owner is very happy to share the history of her family's ...
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Wonderful authentic Mexican food - A TripAdvisor Member - Jun 10, 2009
This is a very small Mexican restaurant - 10 tables? - whose food belies the appearance of the place. It is NOT Tex-Mex - no fajitas, hard shell tacos, or chips and dip. But the freshly made tamales (wrapped in banana leaves) and ...

We were coming back from Portland and decided to try Centralia for a quick dinner. We just lucked into this great little Mexican restaurant - saw it was crowded and decided to stop. What a great decision! Best tortillas ever and the ...
Road Trip - Deborah McIntosh - Apr 2, 2009
We literally structured a weekend roadtrip from Vancouver, British Columbia to Lacey, Washington just for its proximity to La Tarasca (about another 30 minutes south of Lacey on the I-5). No Tex-Mex here, the owners are from the Mexican ...

We wanted to avoid the overpriced food at Great Wolf Lodge, so decided to come here after seeing many other good reviews of La Tarasca. We weren't disappointed -- this is no Americanized chain restaurant! We were given a couple of ...

This place offers different choices then the standard Mexican restaurant. Healthy choices and great tasting salsa! All the ingredients are fresh and dishes are made to order. ...
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 better than they say! - A TripAdvisor Member - Sep 23, 2008
Quite simply the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico. We came here all the way from London, UK (OK we were on our way to Oregon...) and it was worth the trip! It's a small, slightly grotty, diner on the outskirts of Centralia, ...

My family and I were looking for a break from the over-priced food on our stay at The Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. We were headed for the McMenamin's in Centralia when we saw La Tarasca. It looked like a quaint little place, ...

A Friendly Local family has brought us a gem. You will love this place. They serve yummy carrots with salsa instead of the greasy chips your used too. Homemade authentic food you will not forget. Once you go one time, you will return. ...

La Tarasca is one of THE BEST mexican restaurants in western washington. We dont get over there very often anymore since we moved away, but try to get there when we can. Now we are in eastern washington (with a predominent hispanic population), and suprisingly its still very hard to find a really GOOD authentic mexican restaurant that measures up to this place. This is a family run restaurant, the Ayalas are super friendly. If you have very high expectations and consider yourself to be a mexican-food-snob (like myself), you will not be dissapointed. Every dish is first rate. « Hide
