| We've been to Merle's twice...once on a Sunday night and once for Saturday lunch. They have a great outdoor "garage" area that opens up into a patio and a really fun rooftop area. The house marg is great (it's not on the menu, so just ask for it). Lots of other fun drinks, too. The food is typical Americana food, but there are some fun surprises on the menu, such as caprese salad. The fried pickle appetizer is good and the pulled pork Carolina sandwich is great! I've also enjoyed the ceasar wrap, and they have a couple lighter salads on their menu that look good, too. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food, but nothing fancy. Go on a sunny day when you have time to relax on the roof with a couple friends and a couple margaritas. « Hide |

| Please check out our blog w/ pictures @ http://takandmarieat.blogspot.com/ This time we checked out a great spot in Littleton, CO called "Merle's" for some Brunch. Was a great restraunt, located right on the "main street" area of Littleton. The dining room was very modern and had a good feel to it. The menu definately took some time to mull over with as you can see below ALOT of choices... By recommendation of my mom and the waiter...we decided to give the "Fried Pickle Chips" a try...Interesting I must say..but nevertheless very tasty w/ some Ranch dip. Also for an appitizer I got a cup of green chili...because I dunno why, you just can't get proper Green Chili in California (at least I haven't had it yet) Now...onto the grub! My lovely mother opt'd for a "Chicken Salad-Salad", but by accident didn't understand it was actually "Chicken-salad" which contains mayo..which she's not a fan of..However, aside from that it was yummy...I suppose next time she'll read the description a bit more :-) Mari tried the Veggie Burger..which she loved..I'll let her fill in the blanks later :-) As for myself..I went with a Club Sandwich..nothing too extravagant since the Green Chili and Pickle Chips were definately pretty filling All in all was a very tasty experience. Which we would be happy to go back for..Perhaps if/when we move out that way...this place might find us to be a regular « Hide |

| Gave it a try. The BBQ was horrible - had the BBQ combo plate and I would not order that again. Brisket was fatty - fat cap was not removed and it tasted like corned beef. The ribs were tender, but tasted really oddly - like some sort of exotic spice. Couldn't put my finger on the flavor, but it wasn't good. Pork was fatty and flavorless. The chicken wings were ok flavor wise, but the chicken skin was slimy. I will say the drink menu was good - enjoyed the Pomegranite Izze vodka drink. Burgers looked good, but we didn't order those. « Hide |
