To get the full experience, take the free docent-led tour and learn about the wealth of this building and its place in this city. Then buy a snack from the small cafe- or bring your own lunch (even bought from some other place) and sit in the main room; enjoy a rest (for as long as you like), people watch, and on Thursdays, see a show; comedy, music, theatre- every Thursday is different. Wherever you are from, whoever you are, however long you choose to stay, you are always welcome at The Chicago Cultural Center. This is the one place in the city that especially makes me proud that I am from Chicago. Make it a headquarters for your visit- the headquarters with a heart. You will not be disappointed.
