| FIRST OFF LET ME START BY SAYING THAT DISTRICT 8 IS A GREAT STORE THAT CATERS TO THE PEOPLE IN THE BIXBY KNOLLS COMMUNITY ESPECIALLY THE YOUTH. IT IS A PLACE WHERE KIDS ESPECIALLY THE SKATE COMMUNITY OF LONG BEACH CAN COME HANG OUT AND WATCH SKATE VIDEOS, PLAY VIDEO GAMES, AND GOSSIP ABOUT THEIR FAVORITE PRO SKATER AND WHATS HOT IN FASHION............IN OTHER WORDS, A SENCE OF BELONGING AND WELCOMED AND NOT JUST ANOTHER CORPORATE STORE THAT JUST WANTS PEOPLES MONEY!!! THE LOSER BELOW THIS COMMENT "TONY" IS A SALES REP WHO IS JUST MAD THAT HE COULDN'T GET HIS MONEY IN 3 DAYS FOR HIS COUPLE SHIRTS. AFTER REVIEWING HIS CLOTHING LINE, WE DECIDED TO JUST CARRY A COUPLE GIRL ITEMS. (IF YOU ARE AN UP AND COMING CLOTHING LINE ESPECIALLY FROM THE LONG BEACH AREA WE'LL TAKE INTEREST IN WHAT YOU HAVE TO SHOW AND WE TRY OUR BEST TO SUPPORT YOUR MOVEMENT). WE DECIDED TO DO A 30 DAY CONSIGNMENT DEAL WITH THIS GUY TONY WHO OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS BUT SUPPOSEDLY HAS BEEN IN THIS BUSINESS FOR 9 YEARS. HE SAID HE CAN ONLY DO A 3 DAY CONSIGNMENT DEAL WHICH ANYONE IN THIS BUSINESS KNOWS YOU CANNOT MARKET AND SELL A NONE FAMILIAR BRAND IN JUST 3 DAYS. ANYHOW, THIS GUY DECIDES TO COME INTO DISTRICT 8 DEMANDING HIS MONEY FOR THE COUPLE OF SHIRTS HE LEFT BEHIND. HE COMES IN WITH A HOSTILE ATTITUDE (HINTS THE CLOTHING NAME) USING PROFANITY ALL THRU THE SHOP ESPECIALLY AROUND THE YOUNG KIDS THAT PLAY VIDEO GAMES AND WATCH SKATE VIDEOS WHICH HE REFERS TO IN HIS REVIEW. THE FEMALE COLLEGE STUDENT THAT WAS WORKING AT THE TIME ASKED THIS GUY SO KINDLY TO CHILL OUT AND SHE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT. BUT BECAUSE HE WOULDN'T STOP HAVING A TANTRUM THE FEMALE WORKER DID THE RIGHT THING FOR THE SAKE OF THE CUSTOMERS AND THE KIDS HAVING TO HEAR THIS GUYS ATTITUDE, AND KINDLY GOT THE CLOTHES AND GAVE IT BACK TO HIM. AFTER RECEIVING HIS SHIRTS AND STILL ANGRY HE DIDN'T GET HIS MONEY, HE CALLS THE FEMALE WORKER AB**CH AND TELLS HER TO GO SUCK AD**K AS HE PROCEEDS TO WALK OUT THE SHOP. NOW DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A SELF RESPECTING BUSINESS MAN THAT HE CLAIMS TO BE?? THIS WHOLE SITUATION SOUNDS LIKE A DESPERATE GUY WHO PRINTS SHIRTS OUT OF HIS GARAGE TO TRY AND MAKE MONEY TO SUPPORT A NEGATIVE HABBIT. YOU GOTTA BE MORE BUSINESS MINDED THERE TONY, MAYBE YOU'LL BE LUCKY AND LAND SOME ACCOUNTS!! BY THE WAY THIS CLOTHING LINE IS CALLED "HOSTILE" (MAYBE SPELLED DIFFERENTLY) BUT HE NEEDS TO REEVALUATE THE NAME WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN TAKIN BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT ACTUALLY FITS THIS GUYS PERSONA!! BOTTOM LINE US AT DISTRICT 8 RESPECT EVERYONE WHO COMES IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP WHETHER A BUSINESS COMPANY OWNER OR A CUSTOMER WE TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT AND EXPECT THE SAME IN RETURN. I THOUGHT I HAD SPEAK ABOUT THIS ISSUE SINCE HE MADE IT SUCH A BIG DEAL. PLEASE CHECK OUT HIS OTHER REVIEWS AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT TYPE OF PERSON WE ARE DEALING WITH!! | I am a Sales rep for a local clothing company that is taking off in a big way. about 3 weeks ago i took in some samples of our shirts for them to look at and possibly purchase for resell in their store. shortly thereafter i got a call from Tony the manger, stating that the elusive owner liked them and he wanted to purchase 8 shirts from me at my extremely generous wholesale rate. it was verbally agreed upon that i would receive my payment in 3 days. I decided that i would be nice and give them a week more than i agreed just in good faith. for three weeks until today, i have gotten the most disrespectful, unprofessional, and time consuming run around any self respecting businessman should ever have to deal with!!! several phone calls,and of course a dozen "he'll call you in a little bit" later , i was told he would cut me a check last Wednesday, but they decided to go to Vegas instead! (possibly to try and find some other vendor to dick around with!) Today i was called by Tony stating that i could come in at 7pm to pick up my money..Guess what?.THEY WEREN'T THERE!!!!!!! Instead it was a group of 17 year old's sitting around not doing anything useful except wasting company time. (Side note: Every time i go in there they are sitting around playing video games. so, don't expect any good customer service, they are obviously there just to make a quick buck) Basically, after dealing with the extremely rude kid that was "working" i requested my shirts (which were pretty much tossed at me) and left. I have no respect whatsoever for this establishment!!!! I have been in the retail industry off and on for 9 years, and have done customer service and sales for at least 4, and i am qualified to say that they will not stay in business very long at all, if they do not restructure their operations and focus on more than profit. TRUST ME! I was treated wrongly, and if that is how they treat their vendors, then you need to stay away from them, because it's hard working people like me, that make sure those new hot fashions are available for you to wear. « Hide |
