Actors’ subjective organization and interpretation of sensory information and experience as having been produced by the properties of objects or events in the external, three-dimensional world;

an hypothesized intervening process linking physical stimuli with an organism’s unique psychological dynamics and makeup, such as schema, beliefs, expectations, attitudes, and mood, etc. – a constructive process, see expectation.

 

 

Sensory

Of or pertaining to the five senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, and to the neurological mechanisms underlying the process of sensation. 

 

Perceptual set

Prepares actors to perceive things in a certain way.
