- Mar 3, 2010 Scrumptious & Yummy We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of Macrons. It is indeed unique, flavorful and dulcet. The packing was exceptional and it was quite evident that Panna Dolce has paid lot of attention to the look and feel of the overall package in addition to the safety of the macron during delivery. All the four flavors we tried - Caramel, Chocolate, Almond butter and key lime were just scrumptious. I will strongly recommend this to all connoisseurs of macrons, cookies and brownies to at least try this heavenly delight once.
- Feb 16, 2010 Delicious Panna Dolce has the best brownies I have ever tasted. Their brownie to end all brownies is in fact legit. They have a perfect chewy rich texture. The macaroons are a fabulous treat. They do remind me of the European pastries I once enjoyed. My favorite: the Almond Butter and Jelly Macaroon. Panna Dolce's customer service is even sweeter than their treats. Thanks for the surprise! You are the best, keep up the great work. I look forward to trying all of their new flavors as they continue to create more delicious confections!
Dec 16, 2009 Tastefully Delicious Panna Dolce's pastries are a great find. My wife and I spent a couple weeks in Paris last spring and she became addicted to macarons. Coming back to Chicago we looked all over for authentic tasting macarons - I surprised her by having these delicious macarons delivered to her work. The packaging and the all the fun flavors were a huge hit!! Since then we have expanded to taste some of the other offerings like my favorites the White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry overloaded cookie and the Toffee Pretzel Peanut Butter Crunch. I am very happy I found this online bakery.
- Dec 11, 2009 Amazing Products with an Amazing Story We are probably the most critical of our own products at Panna Dolce. 5 stars is a heavy rating, so let me explain where we are coming from. When we originally started down this journey of making French Macarons, we had many many failures... Those in the baking biz know the oven is a fickle jury. Sometimes they came out flat, sometimes too puffy, sometimes they crumbled and sometimes they were too chewy. Luckily all our failures were edible so we never went hungry! :) In fact, it took us 5 full years to perfect the recipe and get the process just right; and most of all repeatable and consistent. We considered starting this business in 2005. In fact, we bought the domain name and started building a preliminary website, but could not get a consistent product we could be proud selling. So, we went back to the kitchen laboratory. We tinkered, we played, and we did our homework. - Dec 10, 2009 La Vie en (Vanilla) Rose Panna Dolce's macarons are the Audrey Hepburn of cookies. Beautiful, refined, elegant...yet fun! I really appreciate that the folks at Panna Dolce didn't just focus on creating a pretty product--their macarons, cookies and brownies are absolutely delicious. And no other bakery in the US has created a macaron that tastes so authentically Parisian. Thank you, Panna Dolce!
