Grease Attended opening night. Very disappointed. Many of the actors/actresses didn't seem to fit the part. The girl's voices were so high pitched and they acted so silly that it was annoying. Another big disappointment...not only did Taylor Hicks, who was pictured on the advertisements for the performance, NOT play the lead of Danny, but he only sang ONE song! That borders on fraudulent advertising to me.

I went last night to the opening night of The Lion King. The theatre stage is small, but it did not hinder the show. Acoustics are not great. Seating is not really comfortable for me (6ft 4in tall). My only real complaint is the crass behaviour. As soon as the show started, idiots with their phones were taking pics and video, although people are warned not to before the show begins. The ushers flashed their lights to stop and only after several attempts then finally walking down the aisle to those people did it stop. No one was removed. This is immediate expulsion! Also it seemed as if people were entering the show constantly throughout. I thought I was at a play. I was disappointed and will avoid Bob Carr. I will try Ruth Eckard Hall in Tampa next time or go to South Florida. I can tolerate the theatre, but will not tolerate the lack of discipline.
